Organize originals
Separate render, audio, images and credits into folders. Keep an untouched copy and create a new Kdenlive project with a profile matching the render.
Check: The project opens and finds every source file.Cut a short version
Put the render on the timeline, trim unwanted starts and ends, and add audio on its own track. Align one clear beat with a visible action.
Check: The first frame is not black and the motion matches your chosen beat.Add text and balance sound
Keep the title short and inside safe margins. Lower music under speech or effects, then listen to the beginning, middle and end with headphones.
Check: Text reads on mobile and there is no unintended clipping or silence.Export and review
Save the project and render a test MP4. Watch it fully outside the editor, fix issues, and prepare a description with model, motion, music and stage sources.
Check: The MP4 plays image and sound, and the description carries required credits.IF SOMETHING FAILS
Quick checks
- If a clip goes offline, relink it from the project folder.
- If audio drifts, check the profile and frame rate of the original render.
- If the output starts black, move the first clip to the start of the timeline.
